Tesvikiye

We have been getting a lot of help and advice on finding a place to live while in Istanbul, and it looks like we might be close to a place. The apartment overlooks the Bosphorus and is in a neighborhood one friend described as "the Fifth Avenue of Istanbul." If that doesn't sound like quite our style, well, this is further proof that we are open to many adventures in Turkey. A web search reveals may maps of the city, including the route of the Istanbul metro. I love "metros" -- I am one of the few people I know who has actually ridden the Los Angeles metro -- and I'm really looking forward to experiencing an Istanbul ride. I now have the Istanbul metro map next to my London map, talismans insuring that I will be visiting soon. Also, Ayse (our guardian angel) has sent us some lovely pictures, including this snap of a nearby bakery -- yet another reason to go to Istanbul.

The best part of the BLOG is sharing your feelings and emotions.
